Biography

Nicole Osbourne James is an experienced Plain Language editor, graphic designer, certified trainer, and courseware development specialist. She provides creative and effective services to community groups and not-for-profit organizations. Nicole has built her skills in communications for large corporate groups, small businesses, unions, and grassroots organizations.

As a highly-skilled educator and facilitator, Nicole specializes in helping to develop goals and ideas from conception to fruition, as well as revitalizing existing concepts. She has been especially sought after for her success in community-directed training initiatives, including:

• CODA Workplace Essential Skills Program, curriculum developer and trainer in support of the Ontario Literacy Coalition in partnership with UniteHERE Local 75 and Toronto Community Housing Corporation
• Partnership in Action: Training Solutions for Toronto Hotel Owners and Workers, consultant in support of the Hospitality Workers Training Centre
• Facing Layoffs: Responding to Job Loss and Assisting Laid-Off Workers, consultant in support of the Labour Education Centre for the Ontario Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress
